L. Mylott Manning’s artwork is a cross-disciplinary dialogue between sculpture, fiber, painting, video and performance. Manning creates sculptural garments made from altered found objects and recycled clothing. She wears her attire during process-based performances and removes pieces from it. The materials taken from the garment are transformed and reshaped into an installation for the viewer to explore. Video and photography capture multiple perspectives and document the work. Manning accompanies her performances with a series of corresponding paintings using a collograph printing technique. She exhibits her work through paintings, sculptures, site-specific performances and limited edition videos and prints. L.
